The Ludwig Super-Sensitive 14” x 5” snare drum (commonly designated as Model No. 410) is one of the most celebrated and articulate vintage snare drums in history. Sharing the iconic seamless chrome-plated Ludaloy (aluminum) shell of the famous Supraphonic, the Super-Sensitive is defined by its specialized parallel-action mechanism. This design runs a mechanism through the drum to extend the snare wires past the outer edge of the bearing edges on both sides, ensuring consistent wire-to-head contact even at the softest dynamics
