Slingerland Piccolo Brass Snare Drum 14" X 4"

From Slingerland:

This drum has the sonic performance of "crisp, explosive, and biting."

• The "Piccolo Crack": The combination of a thin brass wall and a 4" shallow depth produces a focused "pop" or "ping" that easily slices through dense electric guitar walls in a live mix.
• Tonal Versatility: While highly localized as a secondary effects snare, Slingerland noted that dropping the tension transforms the drum into an incredibly articulate jazz brush tool or a bright, high-volume timbale substitute.
