This is a special all original amp. According to the original owner: Brendan O'Brien (Georgia Satellites, Southern Tracks Studio) has Goodsell #1. Shania Twain's guitar player has #2. This amp, #3 was previously owned by Vince Gill.
Again per original owner: "If you have never played a Goodsell Super 17, start there with some YouTube videos. They sound brilliant. I've had five Goodsells and they are amazing. Richard told me once not to feel guilty because Peter Buck had 14 of them, and Butch Walker had 9. I've been in his shop when he was making a rackmount version of this amp for Billy Gibbons and an exact replica of a Clairmont 17 (the first run of Super 17s) for John Fogerty. At one point when Fogerty sought an original low serial Clairmont, there was discussion of me selling him this one (but he wanted his little league jersey number)."
This is one of the ones that is an actual rehabbed Hammond organ chassis. It is stamped AO-35 in ink. The amp is in very good condition. A few little marks and the tolex is lifting in a couple spots. This was Richard's original foray into amp making and it is truly special. Only the first 10 have this unmarked faceplate (material he had on hand in his garage).
Includes a Studio Slips Cover. It has never left my smoke free home. No trade offers, please.
