This is a combination utility pedal which serves two functions.

The first is as an amplifier volume attenuator. This device sits in your amp's effects loop and acts as a master volume, allowing you to reduce the overall volume level of the amp without sacrificing tone. This is particularly useful with amps that have a touchy volume control, allowing you a more useable sweep from your amp's built-in volume control. If your amp has no master-volume control, this allows you to add one. And with multi-chanel amps, it enables you to control all channel's output levels simultaneously; allowing you to maintain the volume balance between them (this feature is great for live use).

This pedal can also be used to add a master volume to any unbalanced low-impedance signal chain; such as a synthesizer, instrument preamplifier, or padding down effects sends which may be too hot.

The second function of this pedals is to reduce the fizz and harshness common to many solid-state and digital amplifiers. Using the "fizz" and "freq" controls, you can dial out those harsh frequencies while retaining the overall character of your amp. This feature can be fully bypassed using the "bypass" switch in the down position. This is particularly useful with high gain and crunchy tones, which can accentuate these unwanted frequencies.

Because this pedal is used in your effects loop, it can be placed on your pedal board, giving you convenient access to a master volume at your feet.

This pedal is fully passive and does not require external power to function.

It is hand wired point-to-point in Canada.

*this device is not to be used between your amp's speaker output and a speaker, as the impedance mismatch can damage your amplifier or the pedal*

*Note* Pedal building is a hobby for me. All of my items are handmade unless otherwise stated. As a result, they may have tiny dings or small surface scratches due to the manufacturing process (clamping for drilling, etc) or other artifacts such as pencil lines from marking drilling locations. I do my best to take quality pictures in order to accurately represent the condition of my items listed. Some select parts, such as transistors, opamps, or diodes, may vary from the ones used by the original manufacturer. This is usually due to the scarcity of vintage semiconductors. I try my best to use equivalent parts whenever originals are not available and hand test them with either a vintage RCA WT-501A, B&K 520B, or B&K 530 transistor tester. All of my pedals run on a standard boss-style 9vDC center-negative external power adapter, unless otherwise stated. If you have any questions about a specific item, please don't hesitate to ask.

Happy shopping,
