Rickenbacker 4003 1985 - Mapleglo Black Trim BT
Amazing instrument for either a collector or a player.
1985 had the slimmest and smallest necks for the 4003, very much like a jazz bass and great for smaller hands or long gigs.
The black trim and all black hardware is a hard to find combo. This was a bass I had to have when I was trying to build a Rickenbacker collection. Now days that dream seems to be behind me and I am in need of the cash for other ventures.
Electronically and physically, bass is in perfect condition. No noise, wiggling, bad frets, tail lift. None of it.
There are a couple of small marks and dings, but nothing that is noticeable from a distance. The headstock has a couple of bumps, mostly on the top or backside. A couple of small scratches on the front where your right wrist and arm make contact. (These marks don't interfere eith playing, you can't feel them). And then there are a couple small bumps on the backside and a decently long surface scratch that seems to just be in the top level of clear coat.
Includes the original hardshell card with the awesome blue interior. Case does have a previous owner's stencil on it.
Overall this is an incredible instruments that doesn't come around very often.
