Selling my 2026 Martin 000-28 in Ambertone, which is truly in mint condition. I am the original owner, purchased it only in July 2026 and it has been played only a handful of times.

This is the new 2026-refresh 000-28, with Martin’s latest updates and specifications. The guitar is essentially as close to new as you can get without buying it directly from the dealer.

I also had a K&K Pure Mini pickup professionally installed when purchased.

Martin made some nice upgrades to their standard series guitars with their refresh in 2025, including:

  • Golden Era (GE) scalloped top bracing — probably the most important upgrade. Martin moved the Standard Series to the lighter, vintage-inspired Sitka spruce GE bracing previously associated with the Modern Deluxe line. Martin says this gives the guitars a more open/breathy response, increased sustain and vintage character.
  • New GE Modified Low Oval neck — still based on the familiar Modified Low Oval shape, but Martin reduced mass and reshaped it somewhat to give it a more vintage feel. It retains the High Performance Taper.
  • Thinner ebony fingerboard — reduces some weight/mass in the neck.
  • Beveled/comfort fingerboard edges — the edges are softened slightly so the neck feels more broken-in and comfortable.
  • Refined string spacing at the nut for improved playability.
  • New Golden Era Modern Belly bridge — reshaped with smoother/rounder corners. This is both an aesthetic and comfort change.
  • Bone or ebony bridge pins, depending on model. For example, the refreshed 000-28/HD-28 use bone pins, while the 00-18 uses ebony.
  • Vintage-style neck/heel details — a longer diamond neck transition, angled nut cut and slimmer vintage-style heel.
