Pernambuco Cello Bow, 4/4 - Unknown Maker
While this bow's provenance is unknown, many attributes - the elegant cut, square shaped stick mortise, the tip faced with precious bone, artful tinsel/silk lapping - indicate that the bow was made by an expert bowmaker.
The bow is in very good, gently used condition, with full hair.
The bow has medium stiffness, good bounce, and an even draw from tip to frog. It is evenly balanced, with the balancing point of 6 1/2 inches from the frog (9.3 inches from the end of wood), yielding comfortable playability.
