The Bugera PS1 Power Soak, works like a charm... I use it for my 50Watt Plexi and it is perfect as a control on volume in order to get the sweet tone you get when you crank the amp. It provides you with bedroom volumes that still has the stank of a dimed Plexi. And without breaking the bank! The amount of tone that you might lose is very minor in my opinion. And I play in medium venues as well as studio settings. Sure, you can spend big bucks on fancy attenuators but at $100 this does deliver.
