Kala All Solid Cedar Top Mahogany 12th Fret Concert Ukulele
I purchased this new KA-12-SCMH-C earlier this year. This Kala has a lovely rich tone, and good playability. It’s also attractive, with a faux tortoise shell binding, ebony fingerboard and bridge, slotted headstock, 35 mm nut width, and a satin finish. It is currently strung with Uke Logic Soft Tension pinks with a Thomastik-Infeld wound low G.
According to the Kalabrand.com listing, "The 12th Fret Concert is designed for the player who loves the classic ukulele feel but wants a richer, more mature tone. This model features a shifted neck and bridge position that maximizes the vibration of the solid cedar top for increased projection and sustain. The African mahogany body delivers a punchy mid-range, while the Graph Tech NuBone® nut and saddle ensure every note stays crisp and reliable. It offers a compact footprint with a surprisingly big voice, making it an easy companion for travel or intimate performances. Ideal for songwriters and hobbyists who appreciate high-quality materials and a more soulful, traditional acoustic response."
The Kala is in excellent condition and includes the Kala lightly padded gig bag.
