Gibson SG Supreme 2000 - 2007 - Emerald Burst - 7lbs 5oz
2005 Gibson SG Supreme in Emerald Burst, with its original Gibson hardshell case.
I purchased this guitar from White Shag through Reverb earlier in 2026. I had been looking for years for an Emerald Burst Supreme, it was kinda of my white whale. Unfortunately after getting it I really realized that I loved how SG's look, but I'm just not an SG player.. as a result, it has spent the past few months in its case. I figured it was a good time to pass it on to the next "emerald-seeker" out there.
Weight: 7 lb 5 oz.
This is a used guitar with cosmetic wear and the changes detailed below. Aside from the tuner-button replacement described here, its cosmetic condition is as I received it.
- Neck finish: The back of the neck was previously smoothed with fine #0000 steel wool and has a reduced-gloss appearance. The photographs show its current condition. You can notice the lines where the neck was taped off prior to this work being done.
- Tuner buttons: The guitar arrived with non-original plastic tuner buttons. I replaced those buttons with gold metal buttons to match the hardware.
- Body sides: There is a minor blemish on the bass-side lower bout, along with some spotting in the finish on the lower side bout.
- Body front: There are swirl marks and pick marks across the face, a few tiny pits to the left of the bridge pickup, and additional small pits around the volume and tone controls.
- Gold hardware: There is visible patina and wear to the gold finish, including on the stopbar screws and around the edges and corners of the pickup covers.
- Body back: The back is generally clean, with one or two small dimples and some strap-related swirling immediately around the rear strap button.
- Fingerboard, headstock, and inlays: The fingerboard and headstock are in very good condition. The inlays are in good condition for the guitar’s age.
Please review the photographs for the location and appearance of these details. I've done my best to truly reflect the condition of the guitar. Overall it's very good, but it's not mint by any means. Please do look carefully.
