Circa 1930’s Duplex Shell Pack. Built Strong!
1.) Bass is 9” x 26” with two calfskin heads in playable condition per the 1920’s set up. This bass can accept modern drum heads and muffling if desired. Weighs less than 10 lbs. and has plenty of Low End Frequency. Has not been cosmetically refurbished. Would take little to sand and apply a new topcoat on the shell. Repaint the hoops and seal them. Polish the hardware if desired. A rare and fantastic Vintage bass that many others would likely list at $800 - $1200 by itself.
2.) 1930’s Duplex 6” x 14” Solid Shell, Snare with reinforcement rings. New, throw off installed as the original was missing. There were extra holes from an apparent strainer change somewhere along the way. Holes sealed and a cosmetic copper plate installed under the excellent new strainer. New heads. This is an Excellent Snare Drum that performs on par with significantly more expensive snares out there. Tunes up nicely…Looks and Plays Excellent!
3.) 1930’s Duplex 9” x 13” Rack Tom is built like a tank. Solid Shell with large reinforcement rings. Matches the Slingerland Shells of the same era exactly. Has triple flange hoops instead of stick choppers. Has new tension rods and new drum heads.
