1966 EPIPHONE Texan FT-79 Sunburst
A 1966 Epiphone Texan FT-79 in a Sunburst finish, manufactured by Gibson in Kalamazoo. Spruce top, mahogany back, sides, and neck; rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Its 25.5″ scale length is longer than that of a Gibson J-45 from the same era, resulting in tighter string tension. It features Kluson Deluxe tuners and a tortoiseshell pickguard with an “E” logo, though the letter “E” is missing. The bridge has been replaced. There are some touch-ups to the finish on the top near the pickguard and some scratches on the back (see photos). Great sound! Comes with a non-original case.
