1954 GIBSON ES-125 Sunburst

A 1954 Gibson ES-125 in Sunburst finish, the most affordable electric archtop in the Gibson catalogue at the time. It was originally fitted with a single neck pickup, like the ES-125s of those years. It has been converted to a two-pickup layout, with the routing needed to fit the second pickup. The two current P-90 type pickups with black covers are non-original. This makes it a guitar made for playing rather than a collector’s piece, and its price reflects that. The finish shows playwear on the top and fine scratches on the back (see photos). Player condition, comes in a hard case that is not its original case.
