Gibson CF-100E Vintage Sunburst [9115-10] (10/27)
See 1 more from €6,246.52
A unique vintage electro-acoustic guitar featuring P-90 pickups, with the historical value unique to a first-year model!
The Gibson CF-100E is a cutaway flat-top electro-acoustic guitar introduced in 1951. It features a compact body with an angular Florentine cutaway and a P-90 pickup mounted near the end of the fingerboard. This innovative model, typical of Gibson at the time, allows you to enjoy not only the natural resonance of an acoustic guitar but also the full-bodied sound characteristic of magnetic pickups.
The warm tone produced by the spruce top and mahogany back and sides is complemented by the rich midrange and clear attack characteristic of the P-90, making it a great fit for a wide range of styles, including blues, jazz, and folk. Its compact body, striking cutaway, and the distinctive elegance of a vintage Gibson are also major attractions.
This vintage guitar, which embodies a unique design philosophy distinct from later electro-acoustic models, is highly appealing both as a collectorfs item and for live performance.
There are several cracks on the back of the body that have been repaired with patches.
Currently, the tone control capacitor is faulty, so the tone control does not function (since the capacitor is original, it has not been replaced). The knob was cracked, and because it has a solid shaft, the push-in-style knob has been modified to a screw-on type and reinstalled.
The edge of the soundhole has been worn down from playing.
As expected for its age, there are numerous signs of wear, including scratches, dents, and some discoloration on the parts.
There are currently no issues with its playability.
