1964 JMI Vox AC30-6
This original 1964 JMI AC30-6 non-Top Boost treble model amplifier was purchased without a cabinet and speakers. The cabinet was built by Weber and Scumback M75s added in.
The boards were swapped (originals will be included) due to heavy tar buildup on them and slight conductivity on the old boards. The new boards function correctly and most of the parts were swapped over. Some of the wiring was swapped due to being brittle and cracking.
The bright caps on the volume pots were removed, but will be included with the amplifier.
The transformers are original including original choke. Filter capacitors are swapped out and new along with new JJ EL84 power tubes with a few hours or use on them. The preamp tubes for the bright and normal channel are original Mullard. Power and preamp tube sockets are swapped out along with a couple of the input jacks.
The amp has a jack added so it can be plugged into the two speakers in the cabinet or it can be plugged into an external cabinet as well.
All channels are functioning correctly and the amp sounds great!
