Late '65 Epiphone Riviera in original Royal Tan finish w/ rare original Geib hardshell case

Awesome example of one of these, and I've had my share. This one's got an amazing neck profile that is decidedly more 50s than 60s. It measures .84" at the 1st fret and tapers to 1.01" at the 12th, giving it almost a 58/59 feel with nice roundness.

I acquired this guitar from a local musician who bought it in the 70s and played in bar bands with it for decades. He took great care of it, too! It was already Grover'ed back when he bought it, but that's the only change that was made to the instrument all those years. I cleaned it up, dressed the original frets a bit, and dialed in the action/setup. It's an amazing player, and the original mini humbuckers are nice and strong with beautiful top end and lots of punch. Minis in semi-hollows are kind of a secret weapon- no lack of power, but way more clarity in the neck position, and a middle position tone to die for.

The original Royal Tan finish is in great shape, as are all the plastics. The ABR-1 is original along with the saddles, and the nickel plated Frequensator tailpiece is also in great shape. Original black reflectors, original wiring harness with a visible pot code of 137 654x and Sprague Black Beauty caps. No breaks and no repairs made.

Quick rundown of the specs:

1 9/16" nut width
C Profile neck - .84-1.01"
Weight: 8lb 4oz
Pickups: Original Mini Humbuckers | 7.57k Neck & 7.36k Bridge with undisturbed covers
Electronics: Original CTS harness with Sprague BB caps

The Epsilon decal had fallen off years ago according to the previous owner, so I applied a new one on the original guard. There was also some intermittent contact at the switch due to some less-than-favorable slack from the wiring loom. I added a couple of small jumpers at the end of the loom to connect to the lugs of the switch for better contact/function. The case is in very nice shape, with all four latches intact and function, and an original handle. Interior is in nice shape too.
