Gibson Flying V with Kahler tremolo 1985
Owned by me for the last 30 odd years and in super condition considering it is now over 40 years old.
All original and as it left the factory in Nashville Tennessee on the 4th of June 1985 serial number 81555560 mahogany body with ebony fingerboard finished in "Panther Pink" now aged nicely to a faded ivory with some checking but no cracks, breaks or repairs. Some minor dings as shown in the photos. Factory fitted Kahler tremolo and locking nut so it will do deep dives and stay in tune even after breaking strings!
The fine tuners on the bridge make tuning a doddle and once tuned it's rock solid for the rest of the gig.
It still has the adjuster key fitted behind the headstock, which are almost always lost.
And of course it has the original legendary "Dirty Fingers" humbuckers that warm up the cleans and drive the dirties into a splendid overdriven frenzy of sonic bad boy saturation!
Best of all is the super low action and smooth frets meaning it's so easy to play and super quick, currently running an 008 top E, 009 B, 010 G, 020 D, 030 A and 038 bottom E.
The hard case is the one I bought it in but of course it wasn't bought new so may or may not be the original.
I know I will regret selling this cherished old friend but the mountain of bills isn't going to go away...
