Selling my original DinSync RE-808 DIY kit, purchased directly from DinSync in 2021. It remains untouched and unassembled, carefully stored in my smoke-free studio.

This is an unassembled DIY kit—not a completed or working drum machine. Assembly, soldering, calibration, and testing are required. It’s a project for someone with the appropriate electronics experience or access to a qualified builder.

The RE-808 is DinSync’s recreation of the legendary Roland TR-808, designed around the original analog circuit architecture. For someone who appreciates both the sound and the process of building an instrument, this is a special project to take on.

I’m a professional DJ, electronic music producer, and musician with over 25 years of experience. I bought this kit with every intention of building it and keeping it in my personal studio. Some instruments mean something to you long before you ever switch them on—this was one of those.

I’m moving overseas very soon, and that international relocation is the sole reason I’m selling. I cannot take my entire studio and collection with me, and I have to let go of projects I genuinely wanted to see through.

This comes from a personal studio and DJ collection I’ve carefully built over many years. Under normal circumstances, I would keep it. Letting it go untouched is particularly difficult because I’m also letting go of the experience I imagined having with it.

Priced to move before my departure, giving another musician or experienced builder an opportunity to bring this project to life.
