Crowfoot Model 4 2021 - Bigsby, Lollar & Duncan pickups

2021 Crowfoot Model 4 PROTOTYPE, serial #52. Made in Chula Vista, CA. Alder body, khaya (African mahogany) neck, pau ferro fretboard, TUSQ nut, 24.562" scale length, 12" fretboard radius. Satin orange Emtech lacquer on the body, clear Emtech lacquer on the neck. Bigsby USA B5 tremolo with upgraded roller bearing, Schaller roller bridge, Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Seth Lover soapbar at bridge, Lollar P90 at neck, Gotoh split-shaft tuners. The neck has a fat, Gibson 1950s-style profile.

This was a prototype for the Model 4, built originally for my own use, and as such there is a spot in the shaping of the inside of the lower cutaway where you can see some tool marks under the finish. Picture is included. There's a super small ding through the color on the top of the body, picture included. The surface of the Seth Lover pickup is scratched up a bit in spots. It's a used guitar, so there are normal playing scratches on the pickguard and control plate. No visible fret wear, and otherwise in excellent condition.

The Model 4 is a thin-bodied guitar, with a body about the same thickness as an SG. However, the body is a bit longer than an SG and balanced differently so there's no problem with neck dive and it's comfortable to play sitting or standing. With the thin body and deep forearm contour, it's very comfortable to play. It's also quite light, at 6 lbs, 9 oz., which is very light for a Bigsby equipped guitar.

The Schaller bridge is really cool, with roller saddles and adjustable string spacing. Very nice hardware. The Lollar P90 is of course a Lollar P90 and sounds gorgeous and deep at the neck. The Duncan Custom Shop Seth Lover soapbar is a super cool pickup, with that classic A2 magnet PAF tone. With that PAF type pickup at the bridge, a great P90 at the neck, and the Bigsby, you're in Neil Young tone territory without the back-breaking weight of a Les Paul.
