Miyazawa MS-95 SRH Professional Handmade Flute

The MS-9SRH was Miyazawa's extremely popular entry-professional model handmade flute when it was produced, and represents Japanese flute making at its finest. It is the predecessor of the current model 202. The flute features a handcut MZ5 silver head, and Miyazawa's unique (and extremely cool) modernist key and banding design that has since been retired.

The flute was has just received a full service and COA (Clean/Oil/Adjust), and is in exceptional playing condition.    The flute plays perfectly from top to bottom, with a vibrant, crystalline clear sound.  Great projection and control, exceptional response. The Miyazawa scale is excellent and offers even pitch and color control across all registers. The mechanism is beautifully crafted with a light, fluid touch. The flute has the (now sadly retired) signature Miyazawa futurist key cup design and decorative banding at the tenons and barrel. 

Cosmetically the instrument looks wonderful, and was completely disassembled and cleaned/polished during COA. The flute shows only normal light surface wear from responsible use. The only notable cosmetic flaw is a very, very minor ding at the top of the head (above the cork).  This is cosmetically only and barely perceptible and has to be closely inspected to find it - I tried to show this in a photo. Otherwise the flute is near perfect. Cosmetically 9.5+/10.

The flute comes in the original Miyazawa brown French style leather covered case with brown velvet interior, and Miyazawa banner.  The case is in excellent condition, odor free, and shows only minimal wear.  It also has a slot for the original Miyazawa wooden cleaning rod, which is also included.  The case is cosmetically 9/10.  The case comes in the original Miyazawa brown leather zippered case cover, which is in good condition. The logo has worn off slightly and the zipper is a little stiff, but the cover still looks excellent and protects the case well - cosmetically 8/10.  The original Miyazawa polish cloth is also included.  Also available is the email correspondence with Miyazawa from 2025 regarding manufacture date and insurance valuation, which can be provided to the buyer upon request.

This flute would be be perfect for a serious student, college undergrad, professional, or doubler wanting a reliable and durable pro, handmade flute.  The current retail value of this flute is $5,095 (which will soon rise significantly due to import fees).  This is a chance to save considerably on an excellent  professional instrument.
