Selling my Fender Custom Shop '57 Twin — the hand-wired reissue of the legendary low-power tweed Twin (5E8A circuit, 40 watts). This is the Custom Shop version, built the old way: hand-wired eyelet board, finger-jointed solid pine cabinet in lacquered tweed, Mercury Magnetics transformers, and two 12" alnico speakers.

The sound: warm, touch-sensitive cleans that break up into that singing tweed overdrive when you push it — the classic low-power Twin thing that the high-power version doesn't do at club volume. Hugely responsive to your picking hand and guitar volume knob.

Condition: Essentially mint — it looks brand new and still has the factory display card. Home use only, never gigged hard or beaten up.

Reason for sale: It doesn't suit the sound I'm going for anymore and it deserves to be played, not stored.
