Up for sale is this vintage 1984 Kramer Baretta electric guitar. We don't often see these earlier examples of the Baretta model and this one has some transitional features common with this era including the earlier Baretta body with the truss rod access at the pocket, but it has the scarf-joint neck and angled headstock placing it in early '84. The instrument also has the slight additional factory route at the cavity for the better tremolo arm fit as seen on earlier Baretta's and, of course, the headstock features the cool "Baretta" logo decal...

This instrument looks to be all original with the exception of a non-original volume pot and the strap buttons. The original Schaller pickup sounds absolutely amazing, especially when you add a little natural gain to the mix. We generally don't point that kind of thing out, but this one stopped us in our tracks when we heard the tone come out of this guitar. The original black finish is in good condition but does show wear including numerous small dings, scratches, and scuffs. The worst of this is located on the back edge of the body where a few larger dings and scratches are located (pictured). The neck feels great and the scarf joint, which could sometimes be an issue with this generation of Baretta, is solid and doesn't appear to have ever been loose or repaired. The hardware is all intact but does show wear and pitting, most notably on the neck plate (pictured). The original tremolo arm is included along with the original tremolo cavity cover (currently not installed, no screws are included).

This one has just been gone over by our tech who cleaned it up, polished the frets, oiled the fretboard, sprayed out the electronics, installed a fresh set of strings, and performed a set up. The guitar plays great with comfortable, low action all the way up the neck. This guitar makes no bones about it: it simply exists to rock and we respect it.

A non-original, loose-loose-fitting hardshell case is included and is in decent shape. It is sturdy and all of the latches and hinges are present and work as they should. The back of the angled headstock does rest on the back of the case naturally so extra care will be used to ensure that this one is well-packed inside and out to ensure safe shipping.

These earlier Baretta's don't show up every day, especially in this condition with this playability. Don't miss out...
