The Sony TA-3120 is a vintage all-silicon transistor stereo power amplifier released by Sony in 1965. This unit is in great condition, all original. It was a top of the line consumer unit prior to the Sony ES series. I had not powered this up for a number of years so I connected it to a variac transformer and slowly brought the power up over 90 minutes to reform the capacitors. I connected it to a tuner and it played music just fine. The front LED works, no static on the pots in the back. The unit has no corrosion or rust.
- Power Output: 50 watts + 50 watts into 8 Ω (rated), with up to 120W music power (IHFM).
- Frequency Response: 30 Hz to 100 kHz (+0, -1 dB).
- Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): 0.1% or less at rated output (1 kHz).
- Signal-to-Noise Ratio: 110 dB.
- Circuit Design: Quasi-complimentary SEPPP (single-ended push-pull) OTL circuit with an SCR protection circuit.
Shipping to the contiguous 48 states only. I will carefully pack in a sturdy box.
