Up for sale is a vintage Ensoniq ESQ-1 Digital Wave Synthesizer in amazing cosmetic condition. This unit looks barely used and has been meticulously cleaned inside and out. It ships inside a padded Calzone soft case for excellent protection. The internal synthesizer engine is fully alive and functions perfectly over MIDI input, making it immediately usable as a premium desktop/rack-style sound module while you finalize the physical control panel restoration.

🟢 Functional & Cosmetic Highlights

• Stellar Cosmetic Condition: This is easily one of the cleanest ESQ-1 units you will find. The chassis, display cover, and keybed are in beautiful, pristine physical shape.
• Fully Cleaned: Immaculate condition inside and out.
• Successful Boot Cycle: The unit powers on flawlessly, displays the initial OS loading screen, and successfully completes its boot sequence directly to the standard patch selection page.
• Operational Over MIDI: If you trigger patches or play sequences via MIDI input from an external controller or DAW, the synth engine behaves perfectly and sounds incredible.
• Case Included: Ships securely inside a heavy-duty padded Calzone soft gig bag.

🔴 Known Issues & Diagnostic Notes (Read Thoroughly!)

• Unresponsive Front Panel Buttons: Once the unit completes its boot sequence and reaches the patch screen, there is absolutely no response from any of the physical front panel buttons. The software patch screen remains frozen on the default view. This usually indicates a stuck tactile switch holding the button matrix open, a loose panel ribbon connector, or a digital logic trace failure on the display/control board.
• Items Not Included: A standard IEC power cord is not included.

Terms of Sale:
Because the front control panel requires troubleshooting to unlock manual patch editing, this synthesizer is being sold AS-IS with no returns and no refunds. It is a gorgeous, exceptionally well-preserved example of a legendary hybrid synth that is already halfway to a full recovery. Serious buyers only.
