This pedal has been fully tested and works as it should with no issues.
The Boss GE-7 is a compact 7-band graphic equalizer pedal designed specifically for electric guitar. It is widely used as a utility and tone-shaping tool on pedalboards.
Key Specifications & Features
- Frequency Bands: 7 frequency sliders at 100 Hz, 200 Hz, 400 Hz, 800 Hz, 1.6 kHz, 3.2 kHz, and 6.4 kHz.
- Boost / Cut Range: ±15 dB of adjustment per band.
- Master Level Control: A dedicated level slider lets you boost or cut the overall output signal by up to 15 dB.
- Power Options: Runs on a standard 9V battery or a 9V DC adapter (such as the Boss PSA series).
Common Uses
- Solo Boost: Raising the overall level or boosting mid-range sliders makes leads cut through a live mix.
- Tone Shaping: Adjusting specific frequencies can mimic different pickup characters (such as making single-coils sound thicker or humbuckers punchier).
- Feedback Control: Cutting problematic or howling frequencies helps tame feedback in live settings.
- Amp Tweaking: Placed before or after distortion pedals, it lets you scoop mids, tighten low-end chugs, or remove harsh high-end fizz.
