This Fender 1964 Tremolux Head in black is in near mint condition. I love this circuit for its perfect power level that gives you good headroom with the ability to saturate at reasonable volumes. It is right at home on most any cabinet, from a higher power single 10" to a 4x12.
This pre-CBS Tremolux head is a 35-watt amp with onboard tremolo. It has been neatly and responsibly serviced by yours truly with a cap job and a new power cable. The cabinet, wheat sparkle grille, and chassis are all near mint, and the tolex, knobs, handle and potentiometers are original.
The cabinet bears the $ initials of Sam Hutton - the cabinet shop manager of this Fender period. The power, choke and output transformers are original Schumacher units with date codes consistent with 1963-1964. A reproduction footswitch in excellent condition is included. Tubes include a JJ GZ34 rectifier, GT 6L6 power tubes, and a mix of GT, ARS, Mesa and JJ preamp tubes. The tubes were all tested to make sure they're good to go. I also cleaned the pots, jacks, and tube sockets.
The service performed on this amp could cost you upwards of a few hundred bucks - buying from an amp nerd pays!
