Beautiful Gibson Custom Shop ’61/’59 Fat Neck SG in TV Yellow with a VOS finish. This is a distinctive Custom Shop SG combining the classic early-’60s SG look with a fuller, more substantial neck carve that feels fantastic in hand.
The TV Yellow finish and aged VOS appearance give this guitar a great vintage-inspired look, while the fat neck provides a comfortable, substantial feel that sets it apart from a typical slim-neck SG.
The original pickups have been replaced with a set of Mojotone aged ’59 PAF-style humbuckers. These pickups offer a warm, open, articulate vintage voice with excellent touch sensitivity and a balanced output. The guitar sounds fantastic and retains the classic SG character.
Condition
The guitar is in very good overall condition. There are some light buckle marks on the back, along with a few minor blemishes shown in the listing photos. These are cosmetic imperfections consistent with careful use and do not detract from the guitar’s overall appearance.
Otherwise, the guitar remains in original condition apart from the pickup change. Please review all photos closely for a complete representation of the guitar’s cosmetic condition.
