Players grade 1972 Marshall Super Lead in descent cosmetic condition but well maintained and has been kept running great for the 10 years or so I'v owned it, It has been to a tech twice in that time, once when I bought it to have it buttoned up for me to play and again last year when I was first thinking of selling this amp, last year I took it to Xenerellic Audio in San Jose CA and Randall gave it a complete gone through and mentioned that 'it is a very nice amp"

I am not a vintage Marshall connoisseur so I cannot answer any questions about original/replaced parts so please take a good look at all the photos and embedded video, if you have any questions I will do my best to answer or provide additional pics. One odd thing about this one is that it is both labeled as a Super lead and a Super Bass, to my understanding the serial number is for Super Bass as is the tag on the chassis but the wiring and stencil on the back of the chassis says Super Lead.

I bought this amp locally from someone who was not playing it and really could not tell me much about the history of this amp but what was obvious was that at some point someone loved this amp, played the sh*t out of it and kept it running strong, in fact someone with the name "R López" loved this amp so much they engraved their name on it on three spots on the chassis, I have also engraved my name on the chassis and if you buy the amp you can put your name on it too and be a part of It's history.

In the time I'v owned it, I have taken it on the road, recorded and practiced with it. It has been in and out of a van more times than I can count and it is a beast of an amplifier, I used this amp with a Weber mass200 attenuator because it really doesn't start to break up till about 4 on the volume and that is already pretty loud, in fact my favorite way to use this amp is jumpered with the volume just breaking up and pedals into the front, the embedded video is me playing this amp, it is meant to show that not only does this amp function properly but that it is also a glorious low gain beast. On that note please keep in mind that the accompanying video is not a professional video, it was recorded on an iPad and there is no sound EQing or post production, only the mic on an iPad. There's plenty of videos of one of these amps cranked and yes it sounds just like that and the chances that you will get to play it at those levels consistently is gonna be pretty slim but I hope that you do!

In person pick up available in the Santa Cruz, California area or willing to ship within the continental US. I have shipped quite a few amps and I will make every effort possible to pack this one to survive a journey, this usually takes me about a full day to pack up, so please keep that in mind, it could take me a couple of days to get it packaged up to drop off for shipping. I will double box it with an inner rigid foam and outer cardboard box, tubes will be labeled, padded and packed inside the head shell.

I am an individual seller, not a shop, sales are final, payment and shipping will be done through Reverb.com so that we are both covered, keep in mind Reverb requires a signature for delivery, no returns accepted unless there is damage during shipping in which case we will work it out through the Reverb.

”make offer” is not enabled because it seems to be a scammer magnet but please feel free to ask any questions I will do my best to answer!
