Gibson Custom Les Paul Custom Figured Murphy Lab Heavy Aged - Nordic Blue (Pre-Owned)

This guitar is in perfect condition.  Considering its already "Heavy Aged" appearance, it's essentially as good as new.  Comes with the original hardshell case.

There is something truly special about a Les Paul Custom that wears its history on its sleeve, and this extraordinary example from the Gibson Custom Greatest Hits Collection takes that idea to another level. Finished in vivid Nordic Blue with an Alpine White stinger, its AAAA figured maple top is a breathtaking display of movement and depth, with an aggressive flame pattern that feels almost alive beneath the finish. What makes this guitar particularly remarkable is the combination of this exceptional figuring with a heavily distressed Murphy Lab Heavy Aged finish. Flame tops of this intensity are rarely seen with such an authentically aged presentation, as dramatic figuring is typically reserved for Gloss or VOS finishes. Here, the striking visual character of the maple meets the worn-in soul of a well-loved vintage instrument, creating a Les Paul Custom that feels as though it has a lifetime of stories behind it.

Beneath its stunning exterior lies the unmistakable substance of Gibson Custom craftsmanship, blending classic Kalamazoo character with refinements designed for the modern player. The weight-relieved mahogany body provides a comfortable foundation, while the Modern Medium C neck profile and bound ebony fingerboard offer a wonderfully inviting playing experience. Mother-of-pearl block inlays bring the timeless elegance expected of a Les Paul Custom, creating a striking contrast against the dark fingerboard. Every detail feels considered, from the vintage-style black pickguard to the black witch hat knobs with silver foil inserts, giving this instrument a distinctive personality that stands apart from the ordinary.

Two covered double-aged-white Custombucker pickups deliver the warm, expressive voice that has made Gibson's classic humbuckers legendary. Expect rich harmonic complexity, a beautifully rounded midrange, and the touch-sensitive response to move effortlessly from sweet, vocal cleans to saturated, singing lead tones. Premium hardware, including a Tune-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, and Grover Milk Bottle tuning machines, completes the package with the reliability and performance this instrument deserves.

For the player who wants more than a beautiful guitar, this Les Paul Custom offers a rare convergence of extraordinary figured maple, convincing Murphy Lab aging, and the unmistakable authority of a Gibson Custom instrument. It is a striking reminder that a guitar can feel both historically rooted and completely singular, a collectible showpiece with the soul to be played, cherished, and passed down.
