A 2007 Fender Classic Player ’60s Stratocaster in Sonic Blue. This Mexican-made model was designed by Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Greg Fessler, which is why it has the “Custom Shop Designed” neckplate and the “Original Contour Body” headstock logo. They’re widely considered some of the best-value Strats Fender has made: you get vintage ’60s looks and tone with a flatter fingerboard and bigger frets, so it’s much easier to play than a straight reissue.

I’ve owned it since I was a teenager. It’s spent the last few years boxed up, so it would benefit from a fresh set of strings and a setup, but there are no faults and everything works as it should.
