Selling my Antelope Audio Galaxy 64 Synergy Core Audio interface.
DESCRIPTION
The Antelope Audio Galaxy 64 Synergy Core is a high-end, high-density audio interface and converter designed to serve as the ultimate hub for large-scale professional studios, live sound applications, and broadcast facilities. Occupying just a 2U rack space, it is the first interface to offer 64 channels of analog inputs and 64 channels of analog outputs over DB-25 connections, providing massive routing capabilities without the need for multiple converter racks.
Unmatched Connectivity
At the heart of the Galaxy 64's flexibility is its comprehensive digital I/O. It can seamlessly integrate into multiple workflows simultaneously. It features two Dante ports for audio-over-IP networking, four HDX ports offering a massive 128 channels of integration with Pro Tools systems, and two Thunderbolt 3 ports for native DAW connection. Additionally, it offers MADI, AES/EBU, and S/PDIF digital connections. This allows the interface to bridge different digital audio protocols, making it incredibly easy to route signals between a Dante network, a Pro Tools HDX rig, and a native Thunderbolt setup all at the same time.
Mastering-Grade Audio Performance
Antelope Audio is renowned for its conversion and clocking, and the Galaxy 64 represents the pinnacle of that legacy. The device boasts mastering-grade AD/DA conversion, delivering up to 130 dB of dynamic range on the monitor outputs and 128 dB on the line outputs for unparalleled transparency and depth. This pristine audio path is driven by Antelope's proprietary 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking (AFC) and jitter management algorithms, ensuring exceptional stereo imaging, transient response, and overall sonic clarity. It also includes comprehensive sync options with Word Clock, Loop Sync, and a 10M atomic clock input.
Massive Synergy Core Processing Power
The "Synergy Core" designation points to the unit's onboard real-time effects processing engine. The Galaxy 64 features a massive 12 DSP (Digital Signal Processing) chips paired with two FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) processors. This architecture offloads processing from the host computer and allows you to run up to 256 instances of Antelope's analog-modeled plugins in real-time with near-zero latency. You can apply high-end EQ, compression, and mic preamp emulations directly to your inputs or use them as hardware inserts during the mixing phase, all without taxing your CPU.
Centralized Control
Despite its complex routing and immense channel count, the Galaxy 64 is highly manageable. It features a color touchscreen on the front panel for at-a-glance metering and deep parameter control. Furthermore, it utilizes an intuitive software control panel that functions as a virtual patchbay, allowing users to drag-and-drop routing configurations, manage monitor mixes, and assign Synergy Core processing with ease
