2000 Epiphone '63 Firebird VII Ebony incl. original hardcase.
The 2000 Epiphone ’63 Firebird VII Ebony is considered a highly desirable, rare "sleeper" guitar among collectors and players alike. Produced for only a limited window (1999–2007) in the infamous Unsug Plant, it is widely praised for its distinct tone, vintage-spec aesthetic and exceptional visual flare -Ebony being the most desirable in combination with it’s gold hardware.
This instrument comes with its original hardcase.
The Reputation of the Guitar
- A Visual Powerhouse: The Firebird VII was the top-of-the-line model. The combination of a deep Ebony gloss finish, extensive gold hardware, a three-pickup layout, and the ornate Maestro Lyre Vibrola tailpiece gives it an incredibly premium, striking look.
- Unique Sonic Profile: Unlike standard Firebirds with two pickups, the VII features three Alnico-V mini-humbuckers. Reviewers frequently note that these pickups strike a perfect balance—offering more bite, clarity, and chime than a full-sized humbucker without sounding thin or ice-picky like standard single-coils. The 3-volume setup yields highly versatile middle-position blend tones.
