Yamaha SA2200 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar, 2018, Violin Sunburst, Made in Japan

For sale is my 2018 Yamaha SA2200 in Violin Sunburst, Yamaha’s flagship semi-hollow. It has a laminated sycamore body with a soft maple centre block, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and a pair of humbuckers with coil splitting.

Condition: Excellent. The guitar has only ever been played at home and has never been gigged. There is one tiny nick in varnish on back of headstock (see photo) but otherwise no cracks or repairs and looks almost as good as new, and it is completely original. The gold hardware shows some light dulling consistent with age and would benefit from a polish.

Playability: It plays beautifully. It had a professional setup in 2025 and is strung with fairly new D’Addario EXL110 10-46s, the same strings Yamaha fits at the factory. All electronics work cleanly with no crackles.

Included: Original Yamaha hard case (a few light scuffs on the exterior), owner’s manual, truss rod tool and certificate.

Reason for sale: I’m making room for another guitar and this one isn’t getting the playing time it deserves.
