Up for sale is an incredibly rare, special-order 2023 Gibson Custom Shop '59 ES-335 Reissue VOS finished in a jaw-dropping, colour-shifting Candy Apple Blue. This spectacular instrument seamlessly fuses legendary 1959 golden-era structural specifications with a striking custom color and a factory-installed Bigsby vibrato tailpiece.

The guitar is in Excellent condition. It has been meticulously cared for and shows no big dings, deep chips, or significant cosmetic flaws. It features only the light, factory aging on the nickel hardware and nitrocellulose lacquer inherent to Gibson's Vintage Original Spec (VOS) treatment. Acoustic-wise, the guitar is loud, resonant, and incredibly well-balanced. Plugged in, the unpotted Custombucker pickups deliver everything you want from a premium 335, offering woody, articulate cleans, smooth PAF-style warmth, and a bite that handles overdrive beautifully. The factory Bigsby operates smoothly and holds tuning wonderfully. It weighs a very comfortable 3.96 kg (8.73 lbs), which is exceptionally well-balanced for an ES-335 equipped with a Bigsby tailpiece.

The guitar comes complete with its original Gibson Custom Shop Certificate of Authenticity (COA), all original case candy, and its original Lifton-style hardshell case.

The overall condition is excellent, showing a clean body with no notable dings, deep scratches, or buckle rash. The neck is perfectly straight, the frets show no wear, and the truss rod functions exactly as it should. The electronics and hardware are 100% original, fully functional, and retain their factory VOS patina on the nickel components.

This instrument was crafted by the Gibson Custom Shop as a 2023 model '59 ES-335 Reissue VOS Special Order. The body construction consists of 3-ply maple/poplar/maple with a solid maple center block, finished in a Candy Apple Blue nitrocellulose lacquer. It features a solid mahogany neck carved to a 1959 rounded medium C profile, paired with an Indian rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays, a 24.75-inch scale length, and a 1.66" nut width. The electronics feature two Custombuckers controlled by a traditional setup of two volumes, two tones, CTS 500K audio taper pots, paper-in-oil capacitors, and a 3-way toggle switch. The hardware configuration includes a factory Bigsby B7 vibrato tailpiece, an ABR-1 no-wire bridge, and Kluson single-line, single-ring tuners, all finished in aged VOS nickel. The sale includes the original Gibson Custom Lifton-style hardshell case alongside the official Certificate of Authenticity and the complete case candy pack.
