The 1966 Guild Starfire Bass (specifically the Starfire I) is a highly coveted, short-scale thinline semi-hollowbody bass. Notably built at the Hoboken, New Jersey factory, the 1966 model features the rare, factory-original "sweet spot" single-pickup placement located closer to the bridge rather than right against the neck. This particular example has been through some things - a headstock repair, routed for another pickup at one point, changed knobs, and possibly used to bludgeon someone or something judging by the two dings in the back! Despite all that, the bass is in excellent working order and sets up with low, buzz-free action. The original Hagstrom Bi-Sonic pickup sounds great too! Neck width is 1.521" at the nut and 1.948" at the 12th fret. Neck depth is .888" at the 1st fret and .989" at the 12th. Weighs 7.7 pounds and ships in OHSC shown.
