Now replaced by the American Original series, the AVRI models sat just below the Custom Shop in Fender’s lineup. Expect a classic ’60s-style maple neck, a rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25-inch radius, narrow frets… pure vintage! The alder body on this example is particularly beautiful, and it has recently been refretted, so it’s ready for another 30 years of playing. At 3.51 kg on our scales, it’s also relatively lightweight for the series. Sold with a Fender tweed case.
