Vintage Early 1988 Taylor 710 w Hardshell Case in Very Good Condition
For your consideration is an early, vintage 1988 Taylor 710 acoustic guitar, in very good cosmetic, and excellent playing condition.
Included is a non-original hardshell case in very good condition.
The guitar shows some signs of wear, as it has been played through the years, with some scratches and swirls on the body and headstock. The frets show some light wear but have a ton of life left.
Like most Taylors this guitar plays fast and easy, with low action and effortless playability.
Unlike a lot of Taylors I’ve played this guitar has opened up beautifully, and sounds incredible acoustically, with a warm and woody tone. You still get that unmistakable string separation, and brightness that Taylor is known for, but you also get that lovely open woody tone of what a Martin would give you. It’s a cool combination.
These early Taylors are just different.
This 710 is constructed from a Solid Sitka Spruce top, Solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides, a Mahogany neck, and an Ebony Fingerboard.
25.5” Scale Length
4-5/8” Body Depth
1 11/16” Nut Width
20 Frets
This guitar with be packed with extreme care, detuned, and fully insured for a safe journey.
