Condition
In very good condition. A few isolated scratches on some of the hardware leg chrome, but the rack pipes, rack hardware, pads, cymbals and module are in excellent condition. This kit has only been played in a smoke free studio. I am retiring after playing drums for nearly 35 years.

The NUX DM-8 all-Remo mesh-head digital drum kit gives drummers an authentic playing experience with innovative features. This digital drum set provides realistic mesh drumheads and cymbals for an acoustic feel, housed in a durable rack system that looks great on any stage.

The unique curved drum rack is well built, solid and durable. By far the best in its class. The DM-8 module has features found only on major brand name e-kits priced closer to $2500-3000. The pads are heavy duty and responsive. The 2-ply Remo heads can easily handle heavy hits. The rubber cymbals are thick and heavy duty. This kit is a pro level kit at an intermediate level kit price.

The pads and cymbals are highly customizable! I know this because I invested plenty of time tweaking and tuning the native sounds to get the exact hi-hat, Ride, Snare and Kick sounds I liked. I reset the module to factory, so be prepared to spend some time going through and setting up your own kits, personalizing it, with the sound parameters you like.

Expressive Hi-Hat, Ride and Snare
The hi-hat assembly is mounted on its own hi-hat stand, providing a more realistic feel and can be adjusted to your playing style, including open/closed and half-open hats. The Hi-hat and Ride take some time getting them dialed in to your personal playing style, but the module supports it. The 12" snare pad features a shell and rim to emulate a real snare drum. Its triple-zone triggering detects rimshots, cross sticks and center hits with balanced, realistic sounds. An included snare stand provides stability for the best response. The DM-8 snare pad authentically emulates the behaviors of a real acoustic snare drum with its rim and shell design. The triple zone enables you to play convincing rim shots/and cross sticks while adapting to the needs of most playing situations. The snare uses the latest three-point trigger technology, which makes the sound of each position on the drumhead more balanced. Also included is a very stable independent snare stand, for the best performance.

Robust Kick Drum and Pedal
The 10" kick pad works with double bass drum pedals, featuring a reinforced base plate and double chain that improve pedal control and durability. The kick produces a wide range of tones from punchy rock thumps to deep, resonant jazz kicks. The newly designed 10-inch independent kick drum can fully support a double bass pedal.

The kick pedal features a dual chain and a thicker soleplate. The double chain design makes the beater swing more stable, while the thickened base plate keeps the entire pedal from moving freely.

Customizable With Intuitive Controls
The new DM-8 sound module is loaded with innovation and eye-catching features, including the Group Faders, which assigns audio levels to each individual pad. Create your own custom drum mixes easily! Also included are 36 kits of high-fidelity drum kits with different styles. No matter the drum style, you can get the sounds you want from it. Intuitive and powerful sound customization features allow users to freely edit their own drum kits. You can assign any sound to the rim or head.The DM-8 module gives you total control over your sound. Group faders assign volume levels for each pad. Choose from 30 high-fidelity drum kits in different music styles and edit sounds freely. Rim and head triggers are independently assignable. Save your custom kits and fader settings for quick recall before each performance.

Versatile Connectivity
The DM-8 functions as a USB audio interface, sending stereo and MIDI data to your computer. Record high-quality drum tracks or use virtual instruments and drum plug-ins. A 1/4" stereo output connects to PA systems, amplifiers or recording equipment. The DM-8 module is also an audio interface, with the ability to send stereo audio and MIDI data to a Mac or Windows computer via USB. This lets you record discrete audio and MIDI drum tracks in any DAW, or trigger sounds from software based drum instruments for studio or live playing. Want to record more than a stereo pair? No problem. You can record up to 14 separate audio tracks into your favorite DAW.
Import Your Samples
The DM-8 enables you to import your own WAV samples via a USB Flash Drive. Now you can build your dream kit with your favorite samples and assign to any pad to play. Think of the possibilities!
Effects
Want to customize your drum sounds even more? The DM-8 includes a selection of high-quality of effects that can be applied to each pad. Simply navigate to the EFFECT menu and select your effect. Add EQ, Compression, Overdrive, or Reverb to the individual pads, or add a Master Compression and/or EQ to your overall mix.

Jamming and Recording
The DM-8 has a great selection of built in songs that you can jam along with, including a dynamic variety of musical styles for every type of drummer.
Practice makes perfect! Record your solo drum performances onto a USB memory stick or upload your favorite backing track, play along with it, and save it as a WAV file to analyze your playing by hearing the entire mix play back. And finally, an AUX IN port is provided to hard connect your preferred your playback device and create a solid mix between your backing tracks and your playing.
