After 20 years of practice amps and modelers, this was my first real tube amp. I can confirm it is the experience I was chasing. However, I’m apparently lazy because after a couple months of back and forth to practice with friends and having to plug in all the cables and loops and etc, I think I prefer the ease of a modeler and smaller power amp. I bought this new open box from AMS in Spring 2026. Never gigged but I play with friends with peavey 5150/6505’s and it holds up no problem at all. It’s been relatively lightly used. I play maybe once or twice a week but not often more than 30 minutes so tubes should have plenty of life. Aside from sound/feel, best features of this thing are the foot switchable boost and quarter power switch. Comes with footswitch, power cable, and user manual.
