Fender USA 1997 American Special Telecaster Thinline — a special late-'90s Thinline with striking tortoiseshell appointments and highly practical, player-oriented specs.
The figured ash body features tortoiseshell double binding on both front and back, paired with a matching tortoiseshell pickguard for a classic yet distinctly upscale look. The semi-hollow construction delivers an airy bloom on the pick attack and warm, rounded low mids, combined with the snappy articulation of ash for expressive tones from cutting to lead playing.
Equipped with a bi-flex truss rod adjustable at the headstock without removing the neck, allowing correction in both directions to keep the neck in top condition through climate changes. Instead of a vintage-style three-saddle bridge, individual saddles allow precise per-string height and intonation adjustment for accurate intonation in the upper positions.
