FROM THE JET CITY WEBSITE:

The Jet City JCA20HV is a single-channel, 20-watt all-tube guitar amplifier head designed by Mike Soldano. Based on the popular JCA20H, the "HV" (High Vintage) version was re-voiced at the request of a legendary guitarist to provide a cleaner, darker, and more "vintage" tone.

• Power Output: 20 Watts.
• Tube Complement: 3x 12AX7 preamp tubes and 2x EL84 power tubes.
• Controls: Preamp Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, Master, Presence, and a Depth Switch.
• Connectivity: Features a post-master serial effects loop (powered by Mojo Tone) and speaker outputs for 16 ohms or 2x 8 ohms.
• Construction: Multi-ply, void-free hardwood cabinetry with a 16-gauge cold-rolled steel chassis.

Tonal Character: The JCA20HV is designed for a classic British-inspired tone, particularly suited for blues and classic rock. Compared to the original JCA20H, it is:

• Lower Gain: It offers less saturated, grainier overdrive similar to 1970s-style amps.
• Darker Voicing: The signal path is re-voiced to be darker and smoother, reducing the "icepick" high frequencies sometimes associated with the original model.
• Interactive EQ: The tone controls are interactive, allowing for detailed sound shaping similar to a vintage Plexi.

  Unique Features
• Depth Switch: Based on a famous Soldano design, this switch provides a fixed low-end boost to enhance bass response and cabinet resonance.
• Pedal Platform: It is highly regarded as a platform for pedals, especially overdrive, distortion, and fuzz.
• Vintage Aesthetics: Features a distinct look with a cane weave grille and white control panel.
