Gibson SG Standard 1997 - Heritage Cherry
Our users rate Reverb
A late-90s "Good Wood Era" classic. This 1997 Gibson SG Standard is light, resonant, and packs the aggressive bite and mid-range punch that made the SG a rock'n'roll legend. Features a solid mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays, and high-output 490R/498T Alnico humbuckers that deliver crunch and soaring lead tones. With nearly 30 years of natural aging, the wood has fully dried and settled, producing an acoustic resonance and depth that newer factory models simply cannot replicate.
The guitar has had a single owner and well maintained.
Key Selling Highlights:
• Sought-after late 1990s Nashville production quality.
• Gibson 490R (neck) and 498T (bridge) humbuckers for classic rock punch.
• Original Gibson USA brown hardshell case with pink plush lining.
