Time Machine Special. Up for grabs is a stunning 1998 G&L ASAT Classic Semi-Hollow guitar, beautifully crafted in the G&L factory in Fullerton, California USA. This guitar has evidently been very lightly played over the years. This guitar is in excellent condition with virtually no signs of use. It’s like stepping back in time. It has recently been set up, serviced and checked by my luthier.
Gorgeous semi-hollow ash body with f-hole
Classic ASAT tone: bright, twangy, and rich in resonance
It features Leo Fender’s amazing G&L Magnetic Field Design (MFDs) Pickups which outperform Fender Guitar’s original Telecaster American Standard Alnico 5 Pickups (Delta-Tone system) in regard to sustain, resonance and range of tonality.
9.5 “ radius maple neck with classic maple fingerboard for smooth playability
C shaped neck
Original hardware and electronics (all checked, cleaned and tested) in perfect working order
Comes with a fitted original G&L hard case
7.4 lbs
This guitar looks incredible, sounds amazing, and feels fantastic in your hands. A classic gem for players and collectors alike. G&L guitars are no longer made as G&L closed their doors in 2025. Their design, engineering and intrinsic beauty all contribute to the recent trend of increasing value.
