Up for sale, a 2010 Fender Custom Shop 1962 Stratocaster Relic in near-mint, 100% original condition, complete with its original G&G hardshell case, CoA, factory paperwork and case candy. Part of Fender's Time Machine series, this Strat faithfully replicates the feel, appearance, and tone of Fender's Pre-CBS golden age. A limited run Custom Shop model that reproduces all the hallmarks of the "slab board" Stratocasters, this '62 model features an alder body paired with a quartersawn maple neck capped with a 9 1/2" radius AAA rosewood slab fingerboard and medium jumbo fretwire.

Sonically, the guitar has a bright and lively natural acoustic response that's channeled faithfully via the trio of Fender's Custom Shop hand-wound ’60/'63 single coils. Featuring black fiber flatwork, push-back cloth wire, and staggered Alnico V magnets, the ’60/'63s offer plenty of traditional Strat sparkle, with glassy highs, a slight midrange scoop and focused lows. The sound is broad and bell-like at the neck, and the middle pickup is RWRP for hum-cancelling quack and cut in the 2 and 4 positions. This ‘62 Relic Strat benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with fresh 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation.
