Boss DS-1 Distortion 1982, Made in Japan, Black Label, TA7136AP Chip, Player Grade
Early Boss DS-1 from 1982, Made in Japan with the black label and the TA7136AP op amp, the version players chase for its smoother, more open distortion than later units.
The classic DS-1 sound that has been on countless records: tight, aggressive distortion with a wide-sweeping Tone control. Great in front of a clean amp or pushing an already dirty one.
Controls: Tone, Level, Dist
Condition: Good. Fully tested and working. This one has been played: heavy paint wear and chipping along all the edges and on the footswitch cover, some old sticker residue on one side and general grime on the bottom plate (see photos). Knobs, jacks and footswitch all work as they should. A genuine road-worn vintage piece.
Year: 1982 (black label, Made in Japan, TA7136AP)
Power: 9V battery or Boss-style 9V DC center negative adapter.
Included: Boss DS-1 Distortion. No box included.
Need a power supply? I can add a 9V 1A center-negative adapter (UK/SG 3-pin plug) for USD 6 with no extra shipping. Just make an offer of the listed price plus USD 6 and mention the adapter.
