Black Beauty is up for grabs. This is a 1964 Fender Precision bass with a hipshot on the E string, all other hardware is original. The year of the body was painted over, but was reported as a 64, the same year as the neck with pots dating back to 1963.
● Neck stamped “5 Oct 64C”
● Body has been Refinished
● Neck has had a Refret & New Nut
● the 12th-fret inlay dot is partially sanded through
● Pots date 20th week 1963
The instrument was purchased at Norman's Rare Guitars in October of 1992 and I have been the sole owner since. Does not include the pickup or bridge cover, truss and neck are in good condition. The case is not original, but still included. The bass is featured on the Columbia release "Bright New Day" By The Inclined (free poster included 🤘)
