1980s Fender Japan E-Serial Stratocaster XII (ST XII) in fair condition and discounted accordingly. Here's a quick run down:
- Alder body
- 7.25" radius
- Hardtail bridge
- Weighs 8lbs 7oz
- Frets have plenty of life left
- Electronics work great (ST-Vintage pickups)
- Lots of play wear, but most of it is centered on the back (see pics)
- Discolored pickguard and other natural aging on plastic (see pic)
- The neck has substantial relief and there is some buzzing and a dead spot or two up towards the 12 fret and higher
As noted in the last bullet, the neck has a bow to it once strings are added and tension is applied. Unfortunately, I was unable to move the truss rod in either direction. It plays well as is, but the action is a bit high as you climb the neck. If I was going to keep it, I would take it in for truss rod work and a proper setup. I simply don't have time though, so I'm listing it for sale at a steep discount. Most 1980s E-Serial ST XIIs list between $1,500 to $2,000.
Includes an older gig bag. I always use Reverb Protection. I ship within 3 business days. I will not compensate you for setups after shipping, and given the clear description of the guitar's condition above, there are no returns. No exceptions.
