Suhr Ian Thornley Classic T Antique - Trans TV Yellow #94661

The Suhr Ian Thornley Classic T Antique in Trans TV Yellow is a distinctive, artist-inspired electric guitar that combines the unmistakable character of a traditional T-style instrument with premium materials, modern playability, and carefully selected professional-grade components. Crafted with a two-piece Fijian mahogany body, it delivers a warm, resonant tonal foundation with rich midrange, impressive sustain, and a focused response. Hand-shaped body contours enhance its comfortable feel, while the translucent TV Yellow gloss finish highlights the natural character of the wood with a vintage-inspired aesthetic. A black Electrosocket input jack, black two-post Suhr tremolo bridge with solid saddles and a steel block, and black three-ply Classic T Deluxe pickguard complete its striking appearance.

The mahogany neck features a satin finish and Ian Thornley V profile, measuring .875 inches at the first fret and .970 inches at the twelfth fret, offering a substantial yet comfortable grip for expressive playing. An ebony fingerboard provides a smooth, responsive surface, complemented by a 16-inch radius, standard fingerboard roll, and 22 jumbo stainless steel frets for effortless bends, accurate intonation, and long-term durability. Clay face dots and matching clay side dots provide understated visual guidance, while the black Tusq nut measures 1.650 inches in width. The hybrid headstock features a black gloss finish with a satin-finished step, a cream-outlined Suhr logo decal, Ian Thornley signature engraving, and black Suhr locking tuning machines for dependable tuning stability and efficient string changes.

The pickup configuration pairs an SSV neck humbucker in raw nickel with an SSH Plus bridge humbucker in raw nickel, delivering a versatile tonal range suited to everything from warm, articulate clean passages to powerful, harmonically rich overdrive. A three-way toggle switch provides straightforward pickup selection, while independent volume and tone controls offer detailed command over the instrument’s response. A push-pull control adds a custom switching function, expanding its tonal possibilities beyond the standard configuration. The electronics are mounted to the black gloss pickguard, maintaining the clean, purposeful design. Finished in black, the bridge, strap buttons, screws, tuning machines, and plastic control knobs create a cohesive contrast against the vibrant Trans TV Yellow body.

Designed for players who demand individuality, expressive response, and professional reliability, the Suhr Ian Thornley Classic T Antique brings together vintage-inspired styling and contemporary performance in a carefully refined instrument. Its combination of Fijian mahogany construction, ebony fingerboard, stainless steel frets, locking tuners, and premium Suhr pickups makes it equally compelling for studio recording, live performance, and demanding everyday use. Configured for standard E tuning with .010 to .046 gauge strings, it weighs 8 lbs. 6 oz. and includes a deluxe padded gig bag. From its striking translucent yellow finish to its artist-specific neck profile and signature details, this Classic T reflects a thoughtful balance of craftsmanship, tonal versatility, and the distinctive musical identity of Ian Thornley.
