For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1957 Gibson ES-175.
The ES-175 is one of Gibson's enduring hollowbody designs, pairing a laminated maple body with a comfortable single-cutaway shape and the warm, woody response that has made these guitars a mainstay of jazz and beyond.
Cosmetically, the guitar is in good condition for its age, with relatively modest playing wear. It has, however, undergone several modifications: the original pickups have been replaced with later Gibson patent-number humbuckers, the tuners have been changed to Grover units, the bridge has been replaced, and the output jack has been modified, with cracks visible in the surrounding area. An additional control knob has also been installed in the pickguard. The serial number is largely illegible, though the remaining “A” prefix and the guitar's features are consistent with 1957 production. Despite its alterations, this remains an appealing example of a classic Gibson hollowbody from the golden era of American electric guitars.
Please note: this guitar is on consignment, so we cannot accept trades.
