For your consideration, Garrett Park Music presents this 1979 Gretsch Country Club in Walnut.
The 1979 Gretsch 7577 Country Club is a premium, large-bodied archtop electric guitar. Built during the late "Baldwin era" of Gretsch production, it represents an era of unique specifications, merging classic 1950s hollow-body jazz design with late-1970s heavy-duty construction. The internal bracing is thicker than its 1950s predecesors, which helps reduce acoustic feedback when playing through loud amplifiers. This particular model is in very good shape with very sparse player wear and no binding rot, though it is missing the selector tip and there was a bigsby installed and removed at some point in the guitar's life leaving two dots by the tailpiece that are hard to see outside of the light. Fortunately these quirks are purely cosmetic and do not affect the excellent playability of this guitar. The slim C neck profile will feel comfortable to most players and makes it incredibly easy to move around this CC's neck. The dual filtertron pickups offer superb clarity without overloading the trebles and each has its own volume and tone control for a wide variety of classic Gretsch sound. With a weight of 9lb4oz and a scale length of 25.5", this guitar will feel right at home to many players with a bit of extra length for players who are used to Gibson's scale length. Includes the original Gretsch hardshell case.Serial Number: 5-9559
